ISABEL PATERSON

Isabel has been part of Makepeace Quilters, Dumbarton, for the last 12 years and was a founder member of the group along with Patricia and Ruth. She completed both Part 1 of the City and Guilds in Patchwork and Quilting and a Machine Embroidery course at Cardonald College in Glasgow. She is now doing Part 2 of the City and Guilds in Patchwork and Quilting at the STUDIO.

Her great love is traditional quilting and this has been put to good use over the past few years in the making of countless baby quilts for people in the local community and noticeably never seems to get to the end of the request list for these.

Isabel is legal administrator for Loch Lomond Quilt Show and the programme of STUDIO classes and workshops – and somehow she also manages to  squeeze in working fulltime at Dumbarton Library in the Local History section.

In her ‘spare time’ Isabel just loves being with her grandchildren, Abbie and Daniel.
